what is your secret?

so…. i really do have every intention of keeping this up. lately has just been…. stressful to say the least for me. so deal with me. i promise more updates very soon.
i actually had planned to update with a review of chris walla’s field manual, but it was so boring i could never make my way through the whole thing. so i guess that’s kind of my review of it. thank god death cab for cutie are going to be releasing a new album soon. let’s hope narrow stairs is more interesting, which i’m sure it will be, no matter what pitchfork has to say about it.
in other news, no new bands have really caught my attention, so i suppose i’ll just post what i’ve been listening to as of late. lots of oldies. lots of newies. it’s all good.

christmas break.

i have every intention of keeping this up over christmas break. i think this will be made quite simple by the fact that i will have plenty of time to write whatever i want because i have a campus job that requires me to stay in muncie year-round, so i am here until the twenty-first. i am a student assistant at the science health-science library in cooper here at ball state, and basically, i get paid $6.85 to sit on my ass and make sure no one comes in and tears up any books. it’s probably the easiest job in the world and lends me a lot of to write. i’m staying in town with my boyfriend and hopefully we have a fabulous week together before we leave to go home to our families. we’ve already begun exchanging presents, so between being with him and great new sweaters and underwear on top of it, i feel like the best christmas ever has come early. it’s snowing like crazy here, so we’re holed up in his apartment. we just finished the entire series of sex and the city and now we’re starting on the first season of ugly betty [one of matt's christmas presents from me]. i am looking forward to a leisurely week of boyfriend in muncie with music and movies and bad chinese food before having to go back to logansport. here’s to a fabulous three weeks.
