looking forward to… 2008

2008 is upon us, & with that, i thought i would share with you things that i am looking forward to in the next year.
01. cat power: jukebox
02. antony & the johnsons: the crying light
those are the only “for sure” albums that i know of at this point that excite me, but i have a list of artists that may have something coming out. i haven’t even begun to look at films for next year, but i’ll definitely make a list of those to look forward to once i get a chance to do some poking around online & such. books, too, are up in the air at this point, although i do mention one at the bottom of this that everyone should be checking into if they know what is good for them.  anyway, let’s get started with the list…

these are just artists that thinkhave something in the works or i know they do. quite a lot to look forward to!

also, i would like to bring everyone’s attention to a book that i’m very excited about that is coming out this january. it is how they met by david levithan. it is a collection of short stories that he has written, most of them love stories that he gives out to his friends at valentines day. as a friend of david’s i have to say that his short stories are just as good as his whole books and i can’t wait to get my hands on this collection. it’s going to be amazing. if you haven’t read anything by david before, you need to get your hands on as many of his books as possible. boy meets boy will always be my favorite, but all of his books are fabulous.
